Consumer and Credit Legal Advice Service (CCLAS)
The Adelaide University Law School Clinical Legal Education Program and Central Communities legal service have established the Consumer and Credit Legal Advice Service (CCLAS) at the South Australian Magistrates Court.
CCLAS is a free legal advice service that provides support to self-represented litigants in the Minor Civil Claims jurisdiction of the Magistrates Court.
This includes consumer credit and debt claims, usually for small businesses or for individuals defaulting on or challenging consumer credit claims.
The CCLAS is staffed by qualified legal practitioners and final year law students at the University of Adelaide.
