The work of the independent South Australian Law Reform Institute (SALRI) has led to landmark changes to many of the state’s laws since it was conceived in December 2010.  On Tuesday 26 October 2021, SALRI’s work, which has benefited many sectors of the community, was celebrated at a reception at Government House, hosted by Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia. Professor Dale Stephens presented with Red Cross Distinguished Service Award

At the recent South Australian Red Cross Annual General Meeting, Professor Dale Stephens was presented with the Red Cross Distinguished Service Award.  This award is a national one that recognises distinguished service and the demonstration of exceptional leadership.

Afghanistan - 20 Years On: What Does it Mean?

On the evening of 13 Sept, Professor Dale Stephens of the Law School and A/Prof Tim Legrand of the Politics School participated in a panel event sponsored by the Adelaide Student 'Politics and international Relations Association  (PIRA)' (hosted by PIRA President Felix Eldridge) discussing the significance of the current takeover of Afghanistan by the Taliban and the significance of the US, Australian and NATO contribution to Afghanistan over the past 20 years.
