Military Law
Our Military Law programs provide legal education to Australian Defence Force Legal Officers in collaboration with the Military Law Training Centre (MLTC).
These programs are taught under contract for the Australian Defence Force. They are only open to ADF Legal Officers nominated by the MLTC, and comprise the LTM3 compulsory and elective courses required by the LOSOCS scheme for ADF Legal Officers.
The University of Adelaide’s Military Law programs comprise:
- Graduate Certificate in Military Law
- Graduate Diploma in Military Law (transition only – for students who have completed all LTM2 courses at the Australian National University)
- Master of Laws
For ADF Legal Officers who are ready to undertake LTM3, compulsory and elective courses, transfer and admission information is provided in our Military Law Program Handbook.

Compulsory LTM3 Courses
Legal Officers from the Australian Defence Force can nominate to be panelled by the MLTC to undertake the following LTM3 compulsory courses:
