Madeleine Perrett recently presented at the Australasian Law Academics Association (ALAA) at the University of Queensland. Her presentation, 'Indigenous Voices in Legal Research: A Non-Indigenous Perspective', explored the ethical responsibilities, methodological challenges, and opportunities for respectful engagement that non-Indigenous legal scholars face when engaging with Indigenous voices in legal research.

We are proud to share that Associate Professor Anne Hewitt has recently returned from Geneva, Switzerland, where she delivered a presentation at the prestigious 9th Regulating for Decent Work Conference, hosted by the International Labour Organization (ILO). This year’s conference focused on the vital theme: “Strengthening Labour Institutions and Worker Voice to Deliver Decent Employment.”

RUMLAE Digital Resilience Conference

On 4 September 2023, RUMLAE’s inaugural Digital Resilience Conference was held at the Ingkarni Wardli Building at the University of Adelaide. A diverse range of topics were canvassed, including the international law governing cyber operations and cyberweapons, regulation of company action in response to cybersecurity concerns, potential control of misinformation and disinformation in Australia and abroad, and the practical and legal management of data breach incidents. The day featured presentations from a number of Adelaide Law School academics and students, including Professor Dale Stephens, Emeritus Professor Christopher Symes, Associate Professor Beth Nosworthy and PhD student Karina Galliford.
