Professor Dale Stephens Participation in ICRC Sponsored Events in Geneva

Professor Dale Stephens was recently invited by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to present a paper on the relationship between the Geneva 1977 Additional Protocol I (which principally applies to land warfare) to the law of naval warfare.

RUMLAE Director, Prof Dale Stephens (in his reserve Navy capacity) recently participated as a presenter and course manager in the 2025 Maritime Security Cooperation Workshop held in Canberra during the week of 7 - 11 April.

Dr Samuel White has won a National Library of Australia Fellowship!

As part of the Fellowship, Dr White will look into the history and triggers for when Defence has been used domestically since 1901 - from floods, to quarantine, to counter terrorism.
